How do I get rid of Internet Explorer 9 pop-up?
What's wrong... Please write below.
I keep on getting a pop-up using the browser Internet Explorer. However, this pop-up isn't from a specific website with a URL. The message just says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
But annoyingly, I can't get rid of it by clicking on the "Close Window" option. It only vanishes when I log off. Otherwise it sticks up there. If I click on any part of the web page, it just as a sound goes "ping."
I use Firefox, but I have Explorer as well. So if I uninstall Explorer browser, which this pop-up is connected to, that might stop it coming up. Then, later, I can install Explorer again, though I'm not sure if I follow this route that I won't end up with the same problem (pop up).
I can't see Explorer under Programs and Features in Control Panel to uninstall it.
Firefox is my regular browser.
How to stop internet explorer pop ups? internet explorer has finished deleting. I have a pop-up blocker, but apparently it doesn't work for this IE pop-up.
There is an issue that's bugging me ever since I installed Windows 7. I can't get rid of Internet Explorer. There seems to be no uninstall app in the add/remove list, nor in the start menu. I use other browser, and I could just leave it as it is, but, from time to time some websites try to open in IE (even though it's not a default browser) and endless popup windows appear, and than it doesn't respond for a while.
So, having the opportunity to consult the proffesionals, I'd like to ask you if there is any way to get rid of Internet Explorer or at least prevent it from opening any websites?
This morning while nosing around Programs I saw I had two different entries for Internet Explorer. One was (a) Internet Explorer and the other (b) Internet Explorer 64-bit.
Since I am using a 64-bit system should I be using the 64-bit program. Now when I click on the Internet Explorer Icon to open my browser I notice it is the regular IE.
Which one should I be using for the shortrcut to Internet Explorer?
I have never used internet explorer, I always used firefox and chrome. I had always thought that turning off internet explorer increased the security of the OS. Upon further reading one day on internet explorer, It seems that it only disables a part of internet explorer, not the whole thing.
After all, windows explorer engine is ran through internet explorer. So I am just curious if actually disabling internet explorer increases security or not.
I recently updated to Internet Explorer 10, however the corporate banking software that I use only supports up to Internet Explorer 9 (and no browsers other than Internet Explorer are supported!).
I now need to revert back to Internet Explorer 9, and in an attempt to do this I performed the following -
1). Clicked on Computer
2). Clicked on Uninstall or Change a Program
3). Clicked on Turn a Windows feature on or off
4). Unticked the box next to Internet Explorer 10
5). Rebooted the computer when prompted
When my computer started up again I expected to see that Internet Explorer 9 was running again. However instead Internet Explorer simply isn't available.
If anybody can offer advice on how to restore Internet Explorer 9 it will be greatly appreciated.
I have two internet explorer running on my computer. when I check (all programs) on my computer, it displays two different internet explorers.( Internet explorer and Internet explorer (64). when I click on help and click on (about internet explorer) it just said that I'm using Internet explorer 8.
One of the two keeps crashing, stops working, but my program continues working with errors on page.
I received a message from the action center telling me how to solve my internet explorer 8 problem. I'm suppose to install a (cumulative security update). went to web site and they have two cumulative security update, one for internet exlorer and another one for internet explorer (64). Which one do I install, without damaging the other?
