Access 2010 and form hyperlink
I am using Access 2010. The table (PCRR) contains a field with the datatype of "hyperlink."
Now, on the form that is based on the PCRR table, I need to allow the user to browse a particular directory and pull back the filename that they want and place the full pathname/filename in the hyperlink field.
How do I go about setting the default location of the hyperlink to a direct pathname (not using mapped drives and/or search drives).? Again, the user will click on the hyperlink field on the form and the "edit hyperlink" will open to the direct pathname/folders.
The final step is that the user will execule a report and export out to a pdf the report, which will contain the hyperlink in it. This pdf report can then be sent to other people for the information, plus be able to open the hyperlink to the selected file above
Thank you for taking the time to report an issue.

I have a form that allows the user to select a filename as a hyperlink, which the forum helped me with a couple weeks ago.
Now, I need to allow the user to browse to a folder and then make that folder path a hyperlink on the form. I also need to set the default directory for the user to start browsing in.
I have found other information about SHGetPathFromIDListA (windows api), but have yet to get it to work.
Originally 2003 Access. Now 2010. I have hyperlink field that I like to be in alphabetical order. But the sort function is grayed out and will not sort at all. 2010 will not sort in either 2003 or 2010 converted mode. The actual hyperlink links just fine, etc. All other fields sort just fine.
IS there a way to disable the Access 2010 Hyperlink Security warning(s) without changing the registry? If not, is the registry change the same as 2007? I am running XP.
I am using Access 2010. I have a table with a hyperlink field that links to a word document. I have a form that references back to a query on that table. As I go through on the form to each new record and see the data, I also want the user to have the option to click a view/print button that will follow the hyperlink to the Word document. Seems easy, but I can't find a good way to accomplish this. I usually use macros to accomplish such tasks, but I am not finding anything. I'm not much for VBA code, but could use it if it works.
Basic: On a continuous form I want to have a button next to each record, which when pressed inserts a particular field from that record onto the clipboard.
Detailed: Every record in my table, tblRequisitions, has an associated hyperlink stored in a field "Hyperlink" (the hyperlink is different for each record). The users want a convenient way to copy the hyperlink so that they can paste it outside of Access. Instead of putting the entire hyperlink as a textbox, I want to display a convenient button for each record entry on the continuous form. When the user clicks this button, I want Access to put the associated hyperlink for that record in the clipboard.

We are trying to export information from Access to Excel. When we export the hyperlink, it is fine in Access but once it gets to Excel, it has duplicated itself with a # on either end of the second hyperlink rendering the hyperlink unusable.
How do we prevent this from happening
This is my first posts and I need help . I'm fairly new to access. I created a hyperlink on an Issue Review Form. The form has a hyperlink on user_email (which is unique, but not primary key). I want users to be taken via OpenForm to the Issues by USER form which would show issues submitted and user details based on the Issue Review Form user_email or staff_id.
