VBA to assign address to Hyperlink
I recently converted a large spreadsheet to an access table to allow multi-user entry/access to the data and am having troubles with one column that was a hyperlink in excel.

The column is named "location" and has the full path to the file I am trying to hyperlink to eg.

I set the data type of the column "location" to hyperlink and all the data turned blue/underlined like a hyperlink but the address of each hyperlink is blank. I am having to goset the hyperlink address manually for each file by copying the "text to display" to the "address" field

Is there some code out there I can run to set the address of these links to match the "text to display"

Imported data not recognizing email address hyperlinks
I have a database that I import Excel data into. After importing, the email addresses do display as hyperlinks (the data type is hyperlink, and the text is blue with an underline), and they appear to act as a hyperlink - when I hover, the little pointing finger appears as I click the text.

The problem is that the text is not an actual hyperlink. After it's clicked, nothinghappens.

When I delete the imported hyperlink, and enter it manually, the hyperlink opens an email message and the address is inserted in the To: field.

Help in Creating a Hyperlink in a table from Text using VBA
I have two MS Access tables with Field1 set as Hyperlink in Table1, and Field2 as Text in Table2.

I am having problems in appending Table2 to Table1 with the Hyperlink working. The text looks like a hyperlink, but when I appended the table2 to Table1, the hyperlink doesn't work.

If I cut and paste the text into the hyperlink field, it does work.

I am trying to use VBA Code to generate a hyperlink for 80 records in Table2 for Table1.

Is there a function or something that converts the text to a hyperlink ? I believe that when I manually cut and paste, it converts to a hyperlink.

Use a command button to paste record field onto clipboard
Basic: On a continuous form I want to have a button next to each record, which when pressed inserts a particular field from that record onto the clipboard.

Detailed: Every record in my table, tblRequisitions, has an associated hyperlink stored in a field "Hyperlink" (the hyperlink is different for each record). The users want a convenient way to copy the hyperlink so that they can paste it outside of Access. Instead of putting the entire hyperlink as a textbox, I want to display a convenient button for each record entry on the continuous form. When the user clicks this button, I want Access to put the associated hyperlink for that record in the clipboard.

MS Access - Hyperlinking a Form to a Report Record Textbox
I have an Access Report that lists selected information on particular Records from a single Table via a Query. This Report is normally only used in Preview mode.

What I would like to be able to do is to use the Hyperlink Properties of the Textbox in my Report that refers to the unique ID of a Record to open an existing Form to display the details of the selected Record.

Thus my question is "What code do I use in the "Hyperlink Target" property of the ID Textbox in my Report to open the Form at the selected Record?"

Refresh unbound textbox
Using Access 2003… I have quite a bit of VBA code that runs a variety of queries. I display information to the user in an unbound textbox on the form. Something like this:
[code]

The problem is that (on some occasions) the queries will run without the text being displayed; I.e., the textbox will display “About to run queries” and then will display “Finished queries. I just couldn't see the textbox change, but this happens even when it takes a few moments for the queries to finish. E.g., I can see the queries running in the lower left-hand status bar, but the text will not change.

It’s almost like I need to put in a break (like a msgbox) to get the textbox to refresh—which works strangely enough? Or possibly to set the focus back to form/textbox?

Hyperlink Issues
I am having trouble with my hyperlink field to a pdf document. The user sets the hyperlink themselves by clicking btnGetLink and searching for the file. When the user selects the file, the hyperlink is put in the txtLink text box which is bound to my table.

The hyperlink in the text box works fine when copied into windows explorer (when I go to edit hyperlink and select the hyperlink, not the actual text in the text box) but clicking on the hyperlink itself yields an error message "An unexpected error has occurred".

Here is a sample hyperlink address:"K:\Common\User\David\Signed Leases\Lease528.pdf" The K: drive is the cloud network drive which I am also running access off of.

[CODE]

If anyone could provide some assistance as to why clicking the hyperlink yields an error message, that would be great!

Linked list from sharepoint - formatting URL question
I have what seems to be the oposite question from a lot of others. I see most people want to turn plain text into a hyperlink but I want to turn a hyperlink into plain text.

I have a SharePoint 2007 list that I have linked to with MS Access 2007.

On my SharePoint list I have a column formatted as "Hyperlink or Picture" that is used as a hyperlink to other SharePoint sites. Now I want to create an Access report using that hyperlink field with two changes:
1) I want to be able to group on it
2) I don't want it to show as a hyperlink on my report

Hyperlink with custom title
I have my user select a file from a file selection dialog. I then want to add a hyperlink into a table hyperlink field pointing to the file they chose. Problem is, I don't want the displayed text of the link to be the full path (due to length issues).

Obviously the 'Address' will be the full path, but I want the 'Text to display' to be something like 'Hyp'. How can I do this?

Create a Field for Hyperlinks
Fields with hyperlink data can be a little complicated sometimes, but they do not need to be. When you enter the hyperlink directly into a datasheet, the text will turn into a hyperlink. This is the blue, underlined text that you click to take you to the site that the hyperlink refers to. These steps will help you to create a field for hyperlinks in Access 2003.

Change the color of hyperlink text
Follow one of the procedures below to change the color of hyperlink text or match the color of hyperlink text with the existing text on a slide. If hyperlinks appear in both the title and sub-title placeholders, do not change hyperlink text in the theme.
