Continuous Form Select Record

Am having a problem that I can't seem to work out.

I have a continous form that displays records based on the output of a query. I want to have a button by each record that once clicked opens up the full record in a new form.

I have looked on the web and most people say use the button wizard. When I do this it cannot seem to find any records on the first form to select to match with the second form (record ID). They are both bound to the same query

Multiple Record Selection on a Continuous Form
Is it possible to use the record selectors on a continuous form to do anything useful? I have a continuous form as a subform which displays a list of customer contracts and some related data and it would be nice if I could select multiple records and print them.

However, I have noticed that although you can select multiple records, as soon as you press a command button the selection changes to a single record.

Is this fixed behaviour, or does anyone know if it can be altered

No Current Record error - Continuous Form
I have a main form which has a continuous form (subform) on it. Once field from the selected record in the continuous form sets the SQl statement for another subform. except that sometimes I get a "no current record" error when the main form refreshes.

Could be a bug with the continuous forms? Even though the arrow is on a record, it isn't really selected. Any way to select a record with VBA?

I have a continuous form that displays various data. I have a button on the form that opens a popup form, displaying content relevant to the current record in the continuous form. I would like this popup form to appear directly below the current record in the continuous form,

I tried to use .Top property of any of the controls in the continuous form, but the.Top property is 0.

How can I get the screen position of a control for the current record in a continuous form?

Create a continuous form using data from a table
I have a table tblcolor which each record contains the different colors, I.e. red, blue, green, etc

I want to create a continuous form where each record is entered by selecting colors from the tblcolor table.

What I would like is that when the continuous form opens the first record shows a dropdown box where one would click on the dropdown and the colors would appear. The user would then select a color and the next record would appear as a dropdown box. When the second record is selected the third record appears, etc….

populate word template from a continuous form
Is there anyway to populate a word template from a continuous form?

Currently, only one record from the continuous form appears in the word template, which is the the record that has the focus.

I'm using this code

SetFocus to a specific record in a continuous form from another form
I have a tabbed continuous form from which I double-click on a record and displays all the details of the record in a separate form. When I close the form, I can go back as far as opening up the continuous form but focus is set on the first record with the code below:

Private Sub Form_Close()

DoCmd.OpenForm "Switchboard"
With Forms("Switchboard")
!tabTCN.Value = !Listing.PageIndex 'open the tab for TCN listing
End With

End Sub

How can I can close the form and setfocus on the same record I double-clicked on

Continuous form with horizontal and vertical records
I am building a continuous subform that needs to display records from a single table both horizontally and vertically.

To illustrate my problem, my subform currently displays as follows:

Record 1
Record 2
..,,

I would like it to display as follows:
Record 1 | Record 2 | Record 3
Record 3 | Record 5 | Record 6
.

I know that I can use print preview to set the number of columns, however I am trying to modify the display of the form on the screen, rather than the display of the form on paper.

Continuous Form- Single click to update multiple records within record
I have a continuous form that is selected by combo boxes in the header. The filtered continuous forms display the different Rooms for a particular Day and session. The rooms do have different presenters, but to keep it continuous, I have used common records and checkbox tallies to calculate the status of each room, I.e a % of confirmed Processed presenters.

From this continuous form I am also able to Send Folders around the network.

Each record for all sessions has a Status field that is a text box defaulted to "Open". This Signifies that each session is still open and receiving files.

Once the session folder has been sent to it's destination, I am after a way of toggling a button that will change the Status Field of each record for that room to "Sent".

This will tell the OP who might be processing presenters from the processing form that the session has been sent and to contact admin. It will also give the sent status for the continuous form for each record.

I have looked at all things continuous, and have not found a method to click and change all records to "Sent" for each individual Room Session. I am a bit confused about the finer workings of a continuous form, although everything is working well with what I have learn't so far.

Manipulating individual control instances in continuous forms?
I have a continuous form in my current database that displays a list of records from a table with a check box control next to each record. I want to change the BackColor property of a field control called txtManufacturer when the check box (chkSelected) is selected.

[code]

Unfortunately, when I select one of the checkboxes, the txtManufacturer control for every record on the form turns red.

Does anyone know how I can get the code to manipulate only the instance of the txtManufacturer control that shares the same record as the selected checkbox?

Delete continuous form record
I have a button in my continuous form that shows up next to each record. I want this button to delete the record next to it with the Recordset.Delete code. Sometimes it works, and other times it says a current record is not selected. What can I added to the code to make sure that it selects the record it is next to?

Top of Page
I created a query to list all the records in a table. One of the fields in each record is called YPPACode. There are multiple records with the same YPPACode.

I created a continuous form with a control box to select a particular record from the query.

When I first open the form and select a record, the selected record(s) appears starting on the first line/top of the page of the form. If I select another record, from the control box, without closing the form, the first record of the selected records appears at the last line at bottom of the screen. I have to manually scroll up to view the rest of the records.

What can I do to insure the selected records start at the first line of the form after every selection?

Displaying Records In A Continuous Form
I know this is easy, but how can I make a continuous form display only active records without a new record at the bottom? I would like the new record to be available only after the "Add Record" button has been selected. I've looked at all of the form properties, and there isn't an obvious choice to make this happen.

Updating an Existing Record Via an Unbound Form
I have a continuous form. I use an unbound form to enter record in the underlying table of this continuous form and then requery the form. Each row on the continuous form also has a "delete" button and "modify" button. The delete button simply deletes the record in that row. What I want to do is to use the modify button to populate the record in that row on the unbound form I use to write record in the underlying table. Basically, I click on the "modify" button on a row, and it opens up the unbound form with the record in its respective row populated. I make the changes and then hit save. It writes the data back in the underlying table and requery the form. That way, the primary key doesn't change, only the data is modified

Create a duplicate record in a continuous form
I have a continuous form where each record has 1 date field and 2 text fields. I want to add a command button to the top of the form that when clicked on will create a new record which will be a duplicate of the currently selected record.

I want the command code to ask for a date and for the new record to have the new date. I also want the new record to be selected.

link between a continuous form's data and a more detailed form
I have a continuous form that lists the basic data for a number of records. I also have a single form that has the more detailed data for the same records. Is there any way to make a hyperlink/command button of some sort that I can click on while looking through the continuous form that will send me to that same record in the more detailed single form
